Innocence
Innocence is the second Ghost in the Shell film, it is a direct sequel to the first, and as it is made by Production IG (like the first) it looks extremely similar in style to the first film. The film was had its cinematic release in Japan in March 2004, and went to no5 in box office sales. Judging by past title we are unlikely to see a UK release for quite some time yet. I have however seen the trailers, and it looks like it will be worth the wait. From what I have seen of innocence so far, it seems to have a darker feel to it than the first film, and focuses mainly on Bateau, though Motoko does put in an appearance near the end of the film. The trailer finishes on a dramatic shootout in a grocery store, during which Bateau takes several hits, as he dives for the gunman. There are now 5 official trailers on the japanese website, the site is however only available in japanese language, making it hard to navigate for those of us who cant read japanese. So I have prepared links to them (below), they are links to the official site, not my own, so when Production IG take them off their site they will be gone from here too, so see them while they're fresh.
